This fancy little pony hunter prospect is by our stallion Alvesta Picasso. Picasso was named the 2009 WPCSC Section B Welsh Pony Sire of the Year, has been on the USEF Leading Pony Hunter Sire List for many years and is Farnley Lustre bred. His offspring are showing successfully on both the Pony Hunter and Welsh Pony circuits.

PJ's dam, Sporting Life, was sold as the Highest Selling 2 Year Old at the 2006 American Hunter Pony Finals Auction for $20,000 US. She was shown lightly as a two year old in the Pony Hunter Breeding division on the U.S. East Coast and won a Best Young Pony Championship in Florida and top ribbons at Upperville and Devon. She has a wonderful pony hunter trot, an absolutely gorgeous head and topline and a temperament to match!

Sporting Life's sire, Penrhyn Sporting Chance, was a resident stallion at Daventry Equestrian and needs no introduction. He was a past winner of the USEF Horse of the Year award for Leading Pony Hunter Breeding Sire and has been in the top 20 on the USEF Leading Pony Hunter Sire List for many years. He holds the record for siring the all time Highest Selling Pony, All Heart, at the American Hunter Pony Finals Auction for $75,000 US and is also the sire of 2008 USEF Horse of the Year Grand Champion Green Pony Hunter, Monroe.

Sporting Life's dam, Light Of My Life, is a 15.2 HH Thoroughbred mare who had a very successful hunter career on the U.S. East Coast and is a very successful pony hunter broodmare. A full sibling to Sporting Life, Chance Of A Lifetime, was 4th Nationally in the 2006 USEF Medium Green Pony Hunters and 4th at Pony Finals the same year. Lifeline, also out of Light Of My Life, was the Overall Winter Equestrian Festival Circuit Champion in the Large Greens in 2007, Overall Circuit Champion again in 2008 in the Larges and placed 2nd in the models out of 72 ponies and 4th Overall at the 2007 USEF Pony Finals.

PJ is a lovely filly who destined for the pony hunter ring. She is 3/4 Welsh and 1/4 TB and has a very easy going temperament. She has a wonderful hunter trot and is well put together. At two months of age, she has already qualified for the 2013 Stars of the West Sport Pony Challenge Cup Finals.
