A three-time U.S. National Champion, Brandysnap is the only Welsh Cob stallion licensed and fully approved with the Westfalen NA (formerly RPSI), Oldenburg Verband/Weser-Ems Pony & ISR/Oldenburg Registry NA. He received the highest conformation score ever given to an ISR/Oldenburg pony stallion and his incredibly Stallion Index score of 226.5 points is among the Top 30 highest ISR/Oldenburg stallions (200+ warmbloods & ponies). Brandysnap received his first star for Premium Status for his superior conformation and his second star for successful completing his Sport Test. He is also lifetime approved with the German Westphalian Verband. Brandysnap has been DNA tested non-Agouti, which means he cannot produce bay foals when bred to black mares and will produce 100% black foals when bred to homozygous black mares.
Brandysnap is the epitome of what a sport pony stallion should be. He was a WPCSA Legion of Merit winner at the age of four, three-time WPCSA National Section D Champion, WPCSA American National Supreme Champion, as well as earning WPCSA points in English and Western Pleasure, Carriage and Pleasure Driving, Ridden Cob, Trail and Hunter, all with an amateur rider and all done in a snaffle. His outstanding conformation has set him apart from others in the show ring and his willing attitude and expressive movement has proved him successful in performance. Brandysnap has a natural aptitude for piaffe and passage and gorgeous extensions. His athletic ability, eager to please nature, and huge heart have made him easy to train in a wide variety of disciplines, winning over the hearts of many at horse shows. He has won many Dressage Championships and High Score Awards at Training Level and has been Hunter Champion or Reserve Champion every time out. He was the winner of eight WPCSC Canadian National Awards in 2008 and another eight WPCSC National Awards in 2009.
No stranger to the show ring, Brandysnap was undefeated and won nine Supreme Championship at the age of two and was named the WPCSA U.S. National Champion Section D Colt. As a three year old, Brandysnap started his under saddle career, winning the Western Pleasure Championship at the 2006 WPCSA Western Nationals. To date, his halter career includes a total of nineteen Supreme Championships and twenty-one Reserve Supreme Championships, fifty-seven Section C/D Grand Championships and an incredible eighty-five first place ribbons from a total of ninety-five halter classes.

Brandysnap's first foal, Goldhills Gingersnap, won the 2010 American Western National Welsh Show Reserve Supreme Champion at only two years of age and won the 2010 U.S. National Champion Section D 2 & Under Filly. In 2013, she won the U.S. National Champion Section D 3 & Over Mare. Brandysnap's son, DT Mr. Snaps, made history at the 2018 USEF Pony Finals by being the highest placing purebred Cob to ever compete at the event - 4th in the Medium Green Pony Hunter model out of 72 ponies, 13th in the under saddle, 17th over fences, 9th overall in the Medium Greens and 3rd place High Score WPCSA Welsh Award.
The Brandysnap son, C.D. Snapdragon, is a two-time U.S. National Champion and now winning at First Level dressage with scores in the low 70's. Brandysnap finished the 2018 show season as #64 on the USEF Leading Pony Hunter Sire List and the highest placing Welsh Cob stallion on the list. Brandysnap has an endearing personality and shows incredible charisma and presence in the ring.

Although Brandysnap was born in the United States, both of his parents were imported from the UK. Brandysnap's sire, *Okeden Taffy LOM/AOE/OD, both an International Supreme Champion and WPCSA U.S. National Champion, and has been the WPCSA Section D Sire of the Year an incredible ten times. During his performance career, he was U.S. National Champion in Western Pleasure and also won championships in English Pleasure and Hunters. His daughter, Goldhills Hanky Panky LOM/AOE, has been a WPCSA U.S. National Halter Champion six years in a row. She is the youngest Pony or Cob to ever win a WPCSA LOM and the first Cob to win a WPCSA AOE. Daughters, Goldhills Hot Mocha LOM/AOE and Goldhills High Tea LOM/AOE, are both multiple WPCSA U.S. National Halter and Performance Champions. Brandysnap's full brothers, Goldhills British Sterling and Goldhills Butter Rum LOM are also both previous WPCSA U.S. National Champions. Brandysnap's younger sister, Goldhills Baklava, was named the 2008 WPCSA U.S. National Champion 2 & Under C/D Filly in her first year of showing. Paternal half-sister, Goldhills Toffee, was the 2010 WPCSC National Champion Section C/D Mare and is now competing successfully in both the hunter and jumper ring with a junior rider.
Brandysnap's dam, *Okeden Britannia LOM, has produced many successful National Halter and Performance Champions, and herself, won second place at the Royal Welsh. She is sired by *Llanarth True Briton, who is a two-time Royal Welsh winner, and as a four year old, placed second in the Ridden Cob class at the Royal Welsh. Among Britannia's successful offspring are, Goldhills British Sterling, Goldhills Butter Rum LOM and Goldhills Baklava.

Our goal at Daventry Equestrian is to ensure that you receive the best quality equine semen possible. Semen motility and morphology are checked with a Bausch & Lomb microscope and semen concentration is verified with a Quick Check™ Sperm Counter. INRA 96® extender, which is the gold standard of extenders, tends to work best with Goldhills Brandysnap's semen.
Semen is shipped in a 72 hour Equitainer. Full paperwork detailing all statistics and semen/extender ratio is included with each shipment to ensure that each Mare Owner has all of the information needed to properly inseminate their mare and ensure a successful conception. As a result, Brandysnap has a 97% First Cycle Conception Rate on his shipped semen.
We collect Monday through Friday. Pre-arranged Saturday and Sunday collections are available for local pick-up only. We would appreciate notification for semen shipments by 3:00 PM MST the night before shipping is needed. While we do ask for advanced notice, we do understand that not all mares read the "breeding handbook" and will do whatever we can if a last minute collection is required. As long as we have been notified of your mare coming into heat, we consider ourselves on call for that week! Our daily cut-off is 7:30 am MST.
We ship via FedEx overnight for all Canadian and USA destinations.

We have been successfully shipping semen to both Canada and the U.S. since 2005. We freeze semen on all of our stallions in our own lab and have been pleased to offer frozen semen to our Mare Owners since 2014.
Our lab
We have a "Welcome Home" policy for all horses & ponies that we have bred, sold or that are sired by any of our stallions. Should an owner ever find themselves in unfortunate circumstances, or a horse or pony is in need of retirement, they may be returned to our farm at any time.
